2002 Korea and Japan's hosted the World Cup. England got revenge on Argentina, but lost with a lack luster 2nd half performace against Brazil in the quarter finals.

Portugal 2006 was another quarter final penalty shoot-out against host nation Portugal. Another talking point was Ronaldo's part in his Man Utd team mate Wayne Rooney being sent off and his subsequent winking to his team mates.

The England Shirt and famous 3 Lions Badge Badge

England have kept true to the Home Jersey being White and the Red for the away Shirt. In the 90s bad taste in football kits ruled and England flirted with this trend. Below are Shirt from each of the post war decades.

Bukta and Admirial have both been manufacturers of England kits, but its Umbro that have produced most of the shirts, and is the current kit manufacturer. The 3 lions badge was on the very first shirt, however after the war the badge also included 10 roses. The reason for the lions dates back to Richard the Lionheart, but the reason for the 10 roses is unclear.
